December 29, 2007 Updates and Reminders

UPDATES

All is going well in our area. No major concerns at this time. I have been able to get out a see a number of you. Always remember, please; I am just a phone call away whenever you need to talk or would like a visit. The carpet is being laid at our San Diego facility even as I speak. I had an opportunity to peek in yesterday and it is going to be nice. Once we get the lighting completely fixed and add some new bright chairs, we are going to have a very cheery meeting place.

REMINDERS

Let's remember to fill out our member surveys from the Home OfficeYour candid and constructive comments will be appreciated

For San Diego members: Please remember that next week is our potluck social and game night.I certainly encourage you to bring any non-member spouses and family members to that occassion

The Penny Jar is awaiting you at both congregations. A little copper from your pocket to the jar goes along way in providing a festival experience for some of our international members.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Three people were visiting and viewing the Grand Canyon--an artist, a pastor and a cowboy. As they stood on the edge of the massive abyss, each one responded with a cry of exclamation. The artist said, "Ah, what a beautiful scene to paint." The pastor proclaimed, "What a wonderful example of the handiwork of God!" The cowboy mused, "What a terrible place to loose a cow."

Chances are we will meet many a person this week with a personal perspective as to how they view life. It may not be how you see things, but it is their reality. The question is not whether they will have their own perspective. They will. The question that only you can answer lies inside of you as to how you will respect their point of view and respond.
